Black Star Motor Sports Announces New 2009 Pro-Modified Crawler

Parker, Colorado based rock crawling team BlackStar Motor Sports has announced the construction of their new 2009 Pro-Modified crawler.  The crawler is being built by fellow competitor Joey Archuleta at his Aurora based Hazardous Concepts.  Hazardous Concepts and Black Star are a perfect fit.  “Joey and I have the same driving characteristics, his buggies perform great as both crawlers and racers”, said BlackStar driver Weston Blackie.  The team plans to unveil the buggy at the upcoming King of the Hammers race in Johnson Valley, CA.  The vehicle will be sporting some new parts to make it more competitive in the desert and in rock racing, such as bypass shocks.  The shocks will also be useful in rock crawling as it will allow the buggy to be more stable in the rocks as well as controllable.  The Ground Pounder chassis is also more capable in the rocks.  With more durable tubing, this is a chassis that will be in use for years to come.
